ehosting Servers move to a new home!
November has seen a major growth move for eHosting. After many months of planning and careful thought, eHosting has forged ahead with a physical move of all its servers and associated equipment from TeleCity in
Manchester (UK) to IFL, also located in Manchester (UK). The move had been considered for some time, primarily to provide improved customer service levels for both existing and new customers, way above those that TeleCity could allow us to provide.
We are pleased to say that all went according to plan, and our systems were moved in a matter of hours. This move, along with an IP
renumbering task performed just before the move, means that eHosting should not need to perform another task of this type for many years to come, facilitating the continuation of our high service levels.
IFL data centres are also well connected places. The strength of their connectivity lies in the fact that they remain independent of carriers and Internet service providers. IFL also present eHosting with many new features, allowing us to pass these along to our customers.
